Ingredients for Rice Kheer (Chawal ki Kheer)
- ½ tin NESTLÉ MILKMAID
- 1 litre Nestlé a+ Toned Milk
- 50 gms Rice
- ½ tsp Elaichi Powder
- 3 tbsp Mixed and Chopped Dry Fruits (optional)
How to make Rice Kheer (Chawal ki Kheer)
- Step 1: Wash rice and pressure cook it in milk for 10 minutes (or cook on slow flame, until the rice is soft).
- Step 2: Add Nestlé MILKMAID and cook for another 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly, until the kheer reaches the desired consistency.
- Step 3: Remove from the flame. Serve garnished with nuts and/or elaichi powder.
Tips to Make Rice Kheer (Chawal ki Kheer)
- Pinch a rice grain to check if it is cooked. If it mashes easily, it is cooked fully
- You can add a teaspoon of rose water or Kewra water to enhance the flavour of the recipe. You can also add chopped cashew nuts, raisins, and almonds to the dish.
- In a matter of seconds, the milk can burn completely. So, be cautious while boiling the milk. Keep on stirring the milk to ensure it doesn’t burn. You can also cook the pudding on medium-low heat to prevent the milk from burning.
