Coconut Mawa Fire-crackers Recipe

Ingredients for Coconut Mawa Fire-crackers

  • 1 Nestlé MILKMAID Mini
  • 1 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Mixed nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup Desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Pinch of salt

For Filling

  • 1/2 cup Mixed nuts, finely chopped
  • A pinch Saffron (to sprinkle)
  • 1/2 cup White chocolate, melted

For Colour

  • 1/2 tsp Beetroot puree
  • 1/2 tsp Cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp Saffron colour

How to make Coconut Mawa Fire-crackers

  • In a pan, add ghee, once it's hot, add mixed nuts and roast it until golden brown. Keep aside for further use.
  • In the same pan, add ghee, once it's hot, add rice flour and saute for 2-4 minutes.
  • Add desiccated coconut, a pinch of salt, cardamom powder and MILKMAID, and mix well.
  • Add roasted nuts and mix everything well.
  • Divide the mixture into separate bowls and add the colour of the choice.
  • Let it cool to room temperature and make lemon-sized balls, give them the desired shape or shape them into phuljhari.
  • Transfer it onto a serving dish and coat it with chopped nuts, drizzle white chocolate and garnish it with saffron strands. 
  • Allow it to set. Arrange nicely on a serving platter.
