- Line your baking tin with parchment paper to prevent your cake from sticking and make removal easy.
- Let the Banana Cake cool completely before slicing to keep it moist and ensure clean slices.
FAQs on Banana Cake Recipe
1. What happens if you overbake Banana Cake?
Overbaking Banana Cake can make it dry and crumbly, like a biscuit. For a moist and tender cake, follow the baking time in the Banana Cake recipe and check for doneness with a toothpick.
2. Can I add additional ingredients to my Banana Cake recipe to enhance the flavour?
Yes, definitely! You can add ingredients like dark chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, or a pinch of cinnamon to enhance the flavour and texture of your Banana Cake.
3. Why did my Banana Cake not turn out fluffy?
Overmixing the batter, incorrect measurements, or using too many bananas can make the Banana Cake dense. Overmixing reduces airiness, and too much banana adds moisture that prevents the cake from rising. Follow the Banana Cake recipe measurements and mix gently for a light, fluffy texture.
4. Why is my Banana Cake sticky?
Banana Cake may turn sticky if the bananas are overripe, the cake is underbaked, or the batter contains too much moisture. Use ripe, not overly mushy bananas, measure ingredients carefully, and bake until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs, not raw batter.
5. How can I make Banana Cake last longer?
To keep Banana Cake fresh longer, wrap it in plastic wrap or foil and store it in an airtight container. It lasts 3-4 days at room temperature, 7-10 days in the fridge, and up to 3 months in the freezer.
