Chocolate gujiya Recipe

Make your Holi more colourful with this Chocolicious Gujiya Recipe. Here's an all new MILKMAID makeover to the traditional Gujiya.

Ingredients

For Dough:

  • 1-1/2 Cups Maida (All-Purpose Flour)
  • 5 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee

For Filling:

  • ½ tin (200 gms) Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 3 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups Grated Coconut
  • 3 tbsp Chopped Nuts (cashew nuts, almonds & pistachios)
  • 1 tbsp Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder

For Chocolate Sauce:

  • ½ tin (200 gms) Nestlé MILKMAID
  • 2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
  • 50 gms Butter
  • for FryingOil

How to make Chocolate gujiya

  • Cook all the filling ingredients on flame until thick.
  • To prepare dough, pour ghee into maida. Add water and make into stiff dough. Knead the dough till pliable. Take portions of dough and roll into small circles. Place the filling inside circles and shape into guijya by sealing the edges with little water. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
  • Heat chocolate sauce ingredients together until they leave sides of the pan. Glaze gujiyas with sauce and serve.
