Surprise Diwali Laddu Recipe

Young or old, everybody loves surprises! And if the surprise is as delicious as these Laddus, no one can resist! Add an exciting twist to your Diwali delicacy and watch your family light up with joy every time they take a bite!

For Laddus

  • 3 cups Desiccated Coconut
  • 1 cup Poha, powder
  • 2½ tbspNestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee
  • 1 cupNestlé Everyday Dairy Whitener
  • 1 tin Nestlé MILKMAID

For Filling

  • 2 tbsp Choco Chips
  • 2 tbsp Tutti Frutti
  • 7Candied Apricot, chopped
  • 3 tbsp Mixed dry fruits, chopped
  • 1 tspCaramel syrup

For Coating

  • Desiccated coconut
  • Cocoa Powder
  • 150 gmsDark chocolate, melted
  • 150 gmsWhite chocolate, melted
  • Chocolate, sprinkler

For Chocolate Mixture

  • 4 tbsp Cocoa Powder

How to make Surprise Diwali Laddu

  • In a non-stick pan, add desiccated coconut, poha powder and dry roast for a minute. Add ghee and cook for another minute on medium flame.
  • Add milk powder and mix well. Add MILKMAID and cook for 5-6 minutes on low heat or until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.  
  • To finish, add 1/2 tbsp ghee and divide the mixture in two bowls.
  • In one bowl, add cocoa powder and mix well.
  • Divide the mixture of another bowl into four parts. 
  • Make a lemon-sized ball, stuff the desired filling and coat well.
  • Serve chill.

For Filling 

  • In a bowl, add mixed dry fruits, caramel syrup and mix well. 
  • Keep it aside for further use.

For Coating 

  • Dip the truffle ladoo in sprinklers or coat it in cocoa powder.
  • Drizzle tempered chocolate or coat it with desiccated coconut.
  • Garnish the truffle ladoo in desired coating.
