Layered Mysore Pak Recipe

Ingredients

Layer 1

  • 1/2 tinNestlé MILKMAID
  • 1/2 cupNestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 4 tbspNestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 1 cupBesan
  • 1/2 cupChopped Nuts

Layer 2

  • 1/2 tinNestlé MILKMAID
  • 1/2 cupNestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 4 tbspNestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 1 cupBesan
  • 1/4 cupCocoa Powder

How to make Layered Mysore Pak

  • Step 1: For layer 1, add ½ cup ghee and besan in a pan. Roast on low flame till the mixture becomes aromatic. 
  • Step 2: Add the rest 4 tbsp of ghee & keep cooking till the mixture becomes runny. Once done, add Nestlé MILKMAID. Keep cooking till the mixture thickens.
  • Step 3: Line a tray with parchment paper and apply lots of chopped nuts on it. Transfer the mixture on it and let it sit for around an hour in the refrigerator.
  • Step 4: For layer 2, add ½ cup ghee and besan in a pan.  Roast on low flame till the mixture becomes aromatic. 
  • Step 5: Add the rest 4 tbsp of ghee & keep cooking till the mixture becomes runny. Once done, add Nestlé MILKMAID & cocoa powder. Cook till the mixture thickens a bit and transfer it onto the refrigerated first layer.
  • Step 6: Let it set in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Step 7: De-mould, cut into bars, and enjoy!
