Step 1: For the sponge, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cashew powder in a bowl. Keep aside. In another bowl, whisk together oil with Nestlé MILKMAID and vanilla essence till it becomes light and creamy.
Step 2: Gradually add the dry ingredients along with milk and prepare the batter.
Step 3: Transfer the batter to a 7’inch lined cake pan and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in comes out clean.
Step 4: Once the cake is baked properly, let it cool down. Then de-mould.
Step 5: For the frosting, whip the cream till stiff peaks. For the glaze, chop the chocolate. Microwave it along with oil till it melts.
Step 6: To assemble the cake, apply an even layer of whipped cream frosting. Then refrigerate the cake for 30 minutes. Now, pour over the prepared white chocolate glaze. Refrigerate again. Cut into slices, garnish with chopped cashews & saffron strands. Enjoy!
