Kaju Katli Cake Recipe

For the Sponge

  • 1/2 tinNestlé MILKMAID
  • 1½ cupsAll-purpose Flour
  • 1 tspBaking Powder
  • 1/2 tspBaking Soda
  • 1/2 cupVegetable Oil
  • 1/3 cupCashew Powder
  • 1 tspVanilla Essence
  • 1/2 cupMilk

For the Frosting:

  • 1 cupWhipping Cream

For the Glaze:

  • 1/2 cupWhite Chocolate
  • 2 tbspVegetable Oil

For the Garnish:

  • Chopped cashews
  • Saffron Strands

How to make Kaju Katli Cake

  • For the sponge, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cashew powder in a bowl. Keep aside.
  • In another bowl, whisk together oil with Nestlé Milkmaid and vanilla essence till it becomes light and creamy.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients along with milk and prepare the batter. 
  • Transfer the batter to a 7’inch lined cake pan and bake at 180°C for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted in comes out clean.
  • Once the cake is baked properly, let it cool down. Then de-mould.
  • For the frosting, whip the cream till stiff peaks.
  • For the glaze, chop the chocolate. Microwave it along with oil till it melts.
  • To assemble the cake, apply an even layer of whipped cream frosting. Then refrigerate the cake for 30 minutes.
  • Now, pour over the prepared white chocolate glaze.
  • Refrigerate again.
  • Cut into slices, garnish with chopped cashews & saffron strands.  Enjoy!
