How to make Wheat Flour Apple Cake Recipe

For Crumble

For Dulche De Leche Frosting

  • Combine everything in a food processor or with the help of your hands till sand-like texture.
  • Grease the baking tin with oil & line it with butter paper in which you are going to bake the crumble.
  • Put the crumble in the prepared baking tin & chill it for some time in the fridge.
  • Once chilled, bake it at 170°C for about 20-25 minutes or till its golden brown from top. Take it out & let it cool in the baking tin itself.
  • Note: This will be our base layer.

    For Apple Cake

  • Sift all the dry ingredients together.
  • Now, add in soft butter, Nestlé MILKMAID, water, vanilla essence & grated apple. Whisk everything together till its lumps free.
  • Pour the batter on to the baked crumble.
  • Just tap the baking tin on the table to let the batter settle in well with the crumble.
  • Bake this in the oven at 180°C for about 30-40 mins or until it passes the toothpick test.
  • Take it out of the oven & after 2-3 minutes demould it.
  • Place the cake on a platter or cake board.
  • • Take an unopened can of Nestlé MILKMAID. Place it inside the pressure cooker & fill it with water till the top of the can. Make sure the water level is above the can.
  • • Remove the whistle & close the lid. Place it over the stove on low heat for about 1-1½ hours.
  • • Once done switch off the flame & take out the lid of the pressure cooker & let it cool down for 30 minutes.
  • • Carefully open the lid of the Nestlé MILKMAID, and the Dulche de Leche is ready.
  • • Mix coffee & hot water to dilute the coffee powder.
  • • Take about ½ cup of Dulche de Leche, and with the help of beater just whip it a little.
  • • Now add ½ cup or more of whipped cream to Dulche de Leche and fold in with the spatula.
  • • Add in diluted coffee & mix it well.
  • • The frosting is ready to be used.
  • • Spread a layer of frosting on top of the cake & garnish it with fresh flowers or apple slices or anything you wish to.
  • Note: You can adjust the sweetness of the frosting by adding more or less of whipped cream in it.
