Date Bake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup
    Water
  • 1/3 cup
    Powdered Sugar
  • 2
    Eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups
    Maida
  • 1/2 tsp
    Salt
  • 2 tsp
    Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp
    Vanilla Essence
  • 1 cup
    Chopped dates
  • 1 tin
    NESTLÉ MILKMAID
  • 1/2 tsp
    Baking soda
  • 1/2 cup
    Butter

  • Sieve flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together and keep aside. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla essence till the mixture becomes creamy. Mix both the flour and egg mixture together.
  • Meanwhile, make the date-milkmaid syrup by heating MILKMAID, dates and water in a pan till it boils. Now make the batter by mixing the date-milkmaid syrup into the flour mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and bake in a preheated oven at 1800C for 45 mins or till the cake is done. Remove from oven, cool for a while. Cut into pieces and serve chilled.
