As the chilly winters make their way through our doors, the fantasy of the sweet, rich and warm Moong Dal Halwa torments our hearts. Well, time to make that come true with this simple 3-step recipe.

Ingredients for Moong Dal Halwa buynow

- Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder

- Moong Dal (dhuli)

- NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk


- NESTLÉ a plus Nourish milk

- Almonds Slivered

- Kishmish (Raisins)

- Pista Chopped

How to make Moong Dal Halwa

  1. Clean and soak the moong dal for 30 minutes, drain and grind to a coarse paste. Heat NESTLÉ Ghee in a kadai and fry the dal till it turns golden brown, stirring constantly.
  2. Add NESTLÉ a+ Nourish Milk, stir and cook on low flame till milk dries up. Pour NESTLÉ MILKMAID Sweetened Condensed Milk and cook, stirring continuously, till the halwa leaves the sides of pan and reaches desired consistency.
  3. Sprinkle cardamom powder & mix well. Transfer to a bowl. Garnish with almonds, raisins and pistachios.
