Millet Payasam Recipe

Ingredients for Millet Payasam
- 1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
- 2 tbsp (20 g) Ghee
- 1/2 cup (100 gms) Proso Millet/Panivaragu [or any other type of millet]
- 1.5 cups (375 ml) Water
- 4 cups (1000ml) Milk
- 8-10 Cashews
- 8-10 Raisins
How to make Millet Payasam
- Step 1: In a pan, add 1 tbsp of ghee, soaked millet (soaked for 15 mins), and sauté on medium heat for 2 mins.
- Step 2: Then, add water and give it a good stir. Cover and cook on low to medium heat for 10 mins.
- Step 3: Add milk and Nestlé MILKMAID and give it a good stir. Allow the mixture to boil.
- Step 4: Simmer and let it cook for a few minutes till it thickens.
- Step 5: Meanwhile, add 1 tbsp ghee in another pan. Roast the cashews and raisins in it.
- Step 6: Add the roasted nuts to the prepared Payasam. Serve hot & enjoy!
