How to make Strawberry Cupcakes

  • Step 1:  In a bowl add butter and Nestlé MILKMAID and blend well.
  • Step 2:  Sieve maida, baking soda, baking powder in a bowl and add to the Milkmaid mixture. Add milk and mix well.
  • Step 3:  Transfer it to the cupcake moulds, swirl in the jam in each mould and bake it at 175°C for 20 minutes or till the toothpick comes out clean.
  • Step 4:  Garnish the cupcakes with whipped cream, chopped strawberries, and sprinklers.

  • Measure the flour accurately. Adding too much flour to the Strawberry Cupcakes recipe can make them dry. If possible, use a scale. If not, fluff the flour with a spoon, fill your measuring cup, and level it with a knife.
  • Use room-temperature butter for smoother frosting.
  • For a beautiful pink hue, add a few drops of pink food colouring to both the batter and frosting.
  • Try adding a dash of vanilla extract for an extra layer of flavour.
  • Don't overmix the batter to avoid tough Strawberry Cupcakes.
  • Bake Strawberry Cupcakes one pan at a time in the middle of the oven for even baking.
  • Decorate with sliced strawberries for a pretty presentation.

1. How to make moist Strawberry Cupcakes?

To keep Strawberry Cupcakes moist, ensure not to overmix the batter, use room temperature ingredients, avoid overbaking, and store them properly. Adding ingredients to the Strawberry Cupcakes recipe like sour cream or yoghurt can also help retain moisture. Be cautious not to under or overfill the cupcake moulds for the best texture.

2. How to stop Strawberry Cupcakes from sinking?

To prevent cupcakes from sinking, ensure the oven is preheated, measure ingredients correctly, as mentioned in the Strawberry Cupcakes recipe, avoid overmixing the batter, and don't open the oven door frequently during baking. Additionally, ensure the cupcakes are fully baked before removing them from the oven. Cooling them properly also helps keep their structure.

3. How long do these Strawberry Cupcakes keep for?

Strawberry Cupcakes can be kept in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days without the garnish or refrigerated for up to 1 week.

4. Can I freeze these Strawberry Cupcakes?

Absolutely! Unfrosted Strawberry Cupcakes freeze perfectly. After they've cooled down, place them on a baking sheet to freeze individually, then transfer them to a freezer-safe bag. They'll keep well for up to 2 months. When you're ready to enjoy them, simply thaw them in the fridge overnight, frost them, and they'll be ready to serve.
