Ingredients for Date Cake
- 1 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
- 1¼ cups Maida
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1½ cup Chopped Dates
- 1 cup Water
How to make Date Cake
- Step 1: Sieve maida, salt, baking powder, and baking soda together and keep aside. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, butter, and vanilla essence till the mixture becomes creamy. Mix the sieved ingredients into the egg mixture.
- Step 2: Meanwhile, heat Nestlé MILKMAID, dates, and water in a pan till it boils. Cool slightly and add to above mixture.
- Step 3: Pour this batter into a greased cake tin and bake in a preheated oven at 180oC for 45 minutes or till the cake is done. Remove from oven, cool for a while. Cut into pieces and serve chilled.
