Ingredients for Layered Mysore Pak

Layer 1

  • 1/2 tin Nestlé Milkmaid
  • 1/2 cup Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 4 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Nuts

Layer 2

  • 1/2 tin Nestlé Milkmaid
  • 1/2 cup Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 4 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
  • 1 cup Besan
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder

How to make Layered Mysore Pak

  • For layer 1, add ½ cup ghee and besan in a pan. Roast on low flame till the mixture becomes aromatic. 
  • Add the rest 4 tbsp of ghee & keep cooking till the mixture becomes runny. Once done, add Milkmaid. Keep cooking till the mixture thickens.
  • Line a tray with parchment paper and apply lots of chopped nuts on it. Transfer the mixture on it and let it sit for around an hour in the refrigerator.
  • For layer 2, add ½ cup ghee and besan in a pan.  Roast on low flame till the mixture becomes aromatic. 
  • Add the rest 4 tbsp of ghee & keep cooking till the mixture becomes runny. Once done, add Milkmaid & cocoa powder. Cook till the mixture thickens a bit and transfer it onto the refrigerated first layer.
  • Let it set in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • De-mould, cut into bars, and enjoy!
