Ingredients for Chocolate Sweet Pongal
- 1 tin Nestlé MILKMAID
- 8 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Ghee
- 1 cup Rice
- 4 tbsp Moong Dal
- 1/2 cup Jaggery
- 3½ cup Water
- 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 cup Roasted Cashewnuts
- 1/4 cup Roasted Raisins
How to make Chocolate Sweet Pongal
- Step 1: Soak moong dal & rice in water for about 2-3 hours. Then drain off the water and wash them properly.
- Step 2: Now, add 2.5 cups of water in a saucepan along with the soaked rice and dal. Mix well. Simmer until cooked and the water has evaporated.
- Step 3: Meanwhile, prepare the jaggery syrup in a pan, add the jaggery and 1 cup of water. Cook on low flame till the jaggery dissolves.
- Step 4: Pour this jaggery syrup in the cooked rice & dal mixture along with ghee, cocoa powder and Nestlé MILKMAID. Mix and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Step 5: Add in the roasted raisins & cashew nuts, and mix.
- Step 6: Serve hot & enjoy!
