Ingredients for Choco Millet Pongal
- ½ Tin Nestlé MILKMAID
- ½ Cup Foxtail Millet
- ¼ Cup Moong Dal
- 1 and ½ Cup Milk
- ½ Cup Tender Coconut Water
- ½ Cup Chopped Tender Coconut Pieces
- ½ Tsp Cardamom Powder
- As Required Ghee
- 8-10 Cashews Nuts
- 8-10 Raisins
- Pinch of Salt
How to make Choco Millet Pongal
- Step 1: Soak Kodo Millet in water for 30 mins.
- Step 2: Then, in a pan, add moong dal. And roast for about 2-4 mins.
- Step 3: Then add the soaked millet, along with 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Step 4: Cover & cook till the millets are properly cooked. This will take around 10-15 mins. Make sure to check in between.
- Step 5: Once the millets are cooked, add milk & mix well.
- Step 6: Add cocoa powder along with Nestlé MILKMAID and mix.
- Step 7: Let the mixture boil so that it thickens. Keep stirring in between.
- Step 8: Add cardamom powder and mix again.
- Step 9: Meanwhile, roast cashews & raisins in ghee till golden. Add them to the prepared Pongal and mix.
- Step 10: Our Chocolate Millet Pongal is ready!
Note: You can add more MILKMAID if you want the Pongal to be sweeter.
