Ingredients for Choco Millet Pongal

  • ½ Tin Nestlé MILKMAID
  • ½ Cup Foxtail Millet
  • ¼ Cup Moong Dal
  • 1 and ½ Cup Milk
  • ½ Cup Tender Coconut Water
  • ½ Cup Chopped Tender Coconut Pieces
  • ½ Tsp Cardamom Powder
  • As Required Ghee
  • 8-10 Cashews Nuts
  • 8-10 Raisins
  • Pinch of Salt

How to make Choco Millet Pongal

  • Step 1: Soak Kodo Millet in water for 30 mins. 
  • Step 2:  Then, in a pan, add moong dal. And roast for about 2-4 mins.
  • Step 3:  Then add the soaked millet, along with 2 cups of water and mix well.
  • Step 4: Cover & cook till the millets are properly cooked. This will take around 10-15 mins. Make sure to check in between.
  • Step 5: Once the millets are cooked, add milk & mix well.
  • Step 6: Add cocoa powder along with Nestlé MILKMAID and mix.
  • Step 7: Let the mixture boil so that it thickens. Keep stirring in between.
  • Step 8: Add cardamom powder and mix again.
  • Step 9: Meanwhile, roast cashews & raisins in ghee till golden. Add them to the prepared Pongal and mix.
  • Step 10: Our Chocolate Millet Pongal is ready!

Note: You can add more MILKMAID if you want the Pongal to be sweeter.
