Tips to Make Pancake

  • Whisk the dry ingredients together first to prevent large lumps from forming in your Pancake batter.
  • Ensure milk and eggs are at room temperature to help the batter mix more evenly.
  • Mix the Pancake ingredients until combined, as overmixing can make them dense and chewy.
  • Clean the pan between batches to avoid burnt or off-flavours in your Pancakes.
  • Use a cookie scoop or a round ladle to pour the batter evenly into the pan.
  • Start with a small test Pancake to check the pan’s heat and adjust if necessary.
  • Flip the Pancakes when you see bubbles forming and popping on the surface, and the edges look set, as mentioned in the above Pancake recipe.

FAQs on Pancake

1. Why are my Pancakes getting burnt?

This usually happens if the pan is too hot or the batter is overcooked. Keep the burner at medium-low heat when cooking Pancakes.

2. Why are my Pancakes flat?

If the batter is too moist, the Pancakes may turn out flat. Try adding a bit more flour until the batter is thick enough to drop from a spoon instead of flowing.

3. Can I use whole wheat flour (atta) instead of all-purpose flour in my Pancake recipe?

Yes, you can use whole wheat flour, but the Pancakes may be denser, so you might need to add more liquid to get the right consistency.

4. Can I add fruit or chocolate chips to the Pancake recipe?

Yes, you can add mix-ins like fruit, chocolate chips, or nuts, but it’s best to sprinkle them onto the batter after pouring it into the pan to ensure it spreads evenly.

5. Can I make Pancakes without eggs?

Yes, you can make Pancakes without eggs. Just follow the same steps in the Pancake recipe, but leave out the eggs. The Milkmaid will add a nice sweetness and keep your Pancakes fluffy and tasty without changing the texture.
